Fly fishing was invented to catch trout. And there's no more fascinating way to fish. The intricacy of the flies, the elegance of the cast and the exciting sight of a trout jumping out in the lake - what a way to spend a day.

Trout Lessons

A day on a trout water is always an experience. In half a day, the novice angler will learn about the tackle and flies we use, get to grips with the basics of casting a fly, enjoy some guided fishing and maybe even hook that first trout. Lessons are always tailored to the individual and can focus on correcting faults, improving consistency, distance or accuracy or explore more advanced or unfamiliar techniques. No experience is necessary and lessons include the use of top-quality tackle and all the flies you'll need. Lessons take place on some of the most beautiful lakes in Kent and Sussex, within easy reach of London.

We are complete amateurs and yet the patience and kind words you offer us brings us no end of encouragement to improve. It might be nice one day if your excellent tuition means that we can emulate the perfect cast which in this part of Essex is simply known as ‘The Sherwood’.
